Real (Primary) Job: Assistant Operations Manager for a UK Ski Tour Operator

Best Trail Running Memory of 2009: Running Juan de Fuca 47km trail on west coast of Vancouver Island with 5 friends.  Truly spectacular west coast scenery and such variation along the length of the trail.

Favorite Trail Ultra: Kneeknacker 50km – professional organization and amazing atmosphere with lots of friends racing and volunteering.  The last racer over the line gets just as big a cheer as the first over the line.

Beer or wine: Granville Island honey brown lager please!

Trail Shoe of choice and why: Montrail Streak for being lightweight yet rugged and an easy ride.  Now converting to Montrail Masochist – love its snug fit.

Objective #1 for 2010: To run my first 100km, hopefully Elk Beaver on Vancouver Island in early May

Best race in 2009: Stormy 50 miler in Squamish, BC (women’s CR by 57mins) in 7h16m

Person Who Has Influenced You Most: My mum who’s suffered from polio and a brain hemorrhage yet never feels sorry for herself; a true inspiration.  It makes you realize how privileged we are to be able to run.  Running an ultra ain’t anything compared to what some people live through…and running is about living life to the fullest.

When I’m Not Running I Prefer to: Tough question!  Ski, travel and hang out with friends

If A Genie Would Grant Me One Wish: To fix my ever weak and injured hamstrings.

When in Need of Rest and Relaxation I: Do yoga.  I’m a recent convert but it’s been amazing for helping with injuries and to chill out from work stress.
