9/5 10k at 10,000 Feet | Steamboat Springs, CO
Part of the Steamboat Running Series, this is a challenging trail run with some rough terrain and breathtaking scenery.... this race is a Steamboat classic! The 10K race begins at 10,000 ft at the summit of Rabbit Ears Pass first heading uphill on USFS dirt roads and 2 track, the race then heads downhill on single-track, ending on a cross country single-track. This race although listed as a 10K is closer to 7 miles in length.
9/11 Emerald Mountain Trail Run | Steamboat Springs, CO
Scenic trail run or walk/hike on beautiful Emerald Mountain. The course for the Emerald Mountain trail run will be a tour of Emerald mountain starting at the base of Howelson Hill. The course will meander north west on dirt road and then through aspen lined singletrack up to the top of Emerald Mountain. The course will then follow singletrack down and cross country to the base of Howelson Hill.
9/18 Run Rabbit Run 50 (Ultra Cup race #2) | Steamboat Springs, CO
The Fourth Annual Steamboat Springs—Run Rabbit Run—50 mile trail run, to be held on September 18, 2010 at 6:00 am. Come join us for a new, improved and more beautiful course, thanks to the U.S. Forest Service. More beautiful, yes, but sorry, it won’t be any easier.
9/19 Ole’s Assault | Astoria, OR
This is a 6-8 mile adventure run produced by X-Dog Events. We will not give away too much information about the course. Surprise is a part of the event. The adventure will take place primarily on private property in the Oregon coastal "hills" near Astoria. Aside from the terrain and natural obstacles, there will be no less than 10 challenges created specifically for the event.
9/25 Mountain Chile Cha Cha | Pagosa Springs, CO
With race distances of 15, 7 and 3 miles, there’s something for everyone at this trail race produced by GECKO. The Mountain Chile Cha-Cha wraps up the season with the famous Pagosa Springs music and chili festival. Celebrate the series, the season, trail running and getting kids outside on Pagosa's killer downtown trail course. Beautiful, challenging and remote.
9/26 Vermont 50 (Ultra Cup race #3) | Ascutney Mountain Resort, VT
Join the 17th annual Vermont 50 to run 50 miles of beautiful, but challenging, Vermont back roads and trails. Held in late September, the Vermont 50 has become a favorite race for ultra-runners. The runners love the back trails and open vistas. And everybody loves the great fall foliage, camaraderie among runners, abundant aid stations, and the great party at the finish line.
